Process & Product Engineering
Know-how
A key part of every new product development and NPI (New product introduction)is the Industrialisation stage. At Eutron we help our customers ensure that their products are ready for volume manufacturing, robust and cost effective. This includes, Design verification, component engineering, production strategy definition, and test strategy.
Eutron technicians, with significant manufacturing and product experience, apply modern engineering methodologies, such as DFX (Design For Manufacturing - DFM, Design For Testability - DFT, Design For Quality - DFQ) in order maximise product reliability and optimise costs.
Product engineering
The Product Engineering functionhas the following tasks:
- Conducting analysis on components based on precise objectives in terms of costs, reliability quality and availability;
- Design of printed circuits in close collaboration with the Design and Development Department;
- Design mechanical and synthetic product housings and perform 3D analysis, including tolerance checking, mould and tool development, etc
- The Generation of necessary technical documentation for the production process teams.
Process engineering
The Process Engineering function performs the following tasks:
- To monitor and improve production processes, to improve yield, introduce new production technologies & techniques and find cost improvement solutions.
- Design and development of test strategies, and production test systems for parametric and functional tests. Development of custom process jigs and fixtures for product assembly
Re-engineering
Eutron can help Customers by re-engineering an existing product to improve the design, reduce costs or replace obsolete components
- Cost engineering:- Analysis of the components and circuit design used to identify cost improvements using alternative components and Eutron global supply chain, low cost circuit designs or higher levels of silicon integration, etc. PCBA redesign to improve production yields, and test coverage;
- The substitution of obsolete or hard to source components.
